Sam is an experienced colorist, finishing artist, and assistant with nearly 10 years of experience based out of NYC but available worldwide. He’s graded all sorts of projects including feature films & episodics, documentaries, music videos, short films, and more. He also has experience grading high-end commercials for clients like Fendi, Hugo Boss, MAC, MaxMara, and Michael Kors.
Sam’s skillset has grown to include fluency in Baselight and DaVinci Resolve, and has become well-seasonsed at intricate tasks such as beauty retouching, dustbusting, and other minor VFX all as part of the color grade. During his time at Harbor Picture Company he wore many hats, from dailies colorist, to mastering technician, to color assistant, and colorist.
Sam has freelanced in a variety of roles at many studios including Gloss VFX, Umami, Studio RM, Significant Others, and more; having worked with numerous colorists in numerous workflows.
Over Sam’s career, he’s been fortunate enough to have worked hand in hand with directors Greta Gerwig, Ron Howard, Ari Aster, and Robert Eggers, while contributing to projects for studios like Netflix, Sony, Apple TV+, HBO Max, A24, and more.
Outside of the dark grading suite, you can usually find him hitting the slopes, wishing he had a dog, or taking pictures of some mountains at midnight.
